Fumigation in the 1950's
Should termites be active at time of inspection. An initial treatment should be carried out by treating activity with ' DIBBS ' Arsenical compounds.
After a period of 2-3 weeks preventive treatment can be carried out consisting of either boring concrete floor or injecting soil, using Health Department approved chemicals.
Yearly inspections should be carried out on a regular basis to ensure termite activity has ceased.

In 1952 R. A. DIBBS & Sons PTY. LTD Commenced 'Fogging' of Residential and commercial buildings.

This method of pest control includes the use of pyrethrin chemicals which are known world wide as safe chemicals.

This exclusive method is by far more effective than general spraying. To Prepare for this method, householders are requested to open all internal cupboards and drawers and close all external windows and doors. All open foodstuffs are to be placed in closed containers or refrigerator. All animals, plants and occupants are to be out of building for a minimum of four hours.

This method will control cockroaches, silverfish, spiders, ants and dust mite etc. All in one easy application

'Spraying'- use of health department regulated chemicals and is slightly less expensive than our 'Fogging' method - however this method is not as effective in long term control of insect pests.
